2023年9月21日に東京・渋谷で開催された国際シンポジウム「ニューロニューロダイバーシティを讃えよう」についての記事が公開されました。千葉工業大学とConnected Learning Allianceの共催により、ニューロダイバーシティを尊重し、当事者やコミュニティと協働するテクノロジー研究のあり方をテーマに開催されました。

このシンポジウムでは、ニューロダイバーシティ・テクノロジー分野における国際的な動向を紹介するとともに、異文化間の研究実践、当事者の視点、そして日本における今後の展望について議論が行われました。日英同時通訳のもと、研究者、当事者、技術者、支援者が分野横断的に参加する場となりました。

We are pleased to share an article about an international symposium held in Tokyo on September 21, 2023, co-hosted by Chiba Institute of Technology and the Connected Learning Alliance.
The symposium focused on celebrating neurodiversity and advancing collaborative technology research with neurodiverse individuals and communities. The event highlighted the growing global neurodiversity technology movement through cross-cultural research, innovative projects, and perspectives from self-advocates. With simultaneous Japanese–English interpretation, the symposium brought together researchers, technologists, advocates, and community members to explore inclusive and community-based approaches to technology design and research in Japan.

The article is published in the January–February 2026 issue of ACM Interactions. It is available online and also in print for subscribers. The piece reflects on the discussions, activities, and key insights from the symposium, highlighting lessons learned through cross-cultural relationship building and community-based research in Japan.
